The company started its operation in Kuala Lumpur with six staff and has grown from strength to strength to its present force of sixty person. We are able to offer an extensive range of industrial equipment and services and two wholly-owned subsidiary companies in Penang and Johor Bahru.

 With many years of expeience commited to meeting the needs of our customers, Sumber Engineering Trading ( M ) Sdn. Bhd. strives to provide the latest range of technical equipment to improve the efficiency in many industries and the enhancement of human life.

We are proud to be associated with Hitachi Ltd and represent them as the sole distributer of industrial products in Malaysia. With their full support and cooperation, we have successfully provided high quality, reliable and safe industrial equipments for more than 20 years.

HISTORICAL PROFILE

1978         Sumber Engineering (M) Sdn. Bhd. Was formed.

1991         Acquired Instant Scaffolds & Marketing Sdn. Bhd. As a Subsidiary Company

1996         Shifted to our own building at Wisma Sumber

1996         Established Sumber Engineering Trading (M) Sdn. Bhd. ( a subsidiary formed to take over trading activities from Sumber Engineering (M) Sdn. Bhd.

1997       Trading activities officially assumed by Sumber Engineering Trading (M) Sdn. Bhd.

2000       Change of company name from Sumber Engineering (M) Sdn. Bhd. To Sumber Co. Sdn. Bhd.   

2006     Privatised the two branches in Penang and Johor Bahru and set-up two wholly-owned subsidiary companies:

a)IASE Trading Sdn. Bhd.
       b) EXTRO Machinery Trading Sdn.Bhd.
          in Penang and Johor Bahru respectively.
